| Injection moulding is a forming method used in plastic processing in which read-to-use parts can be produced in large quantities. The respective synthetic material gets plasticized by an injection moulding machine in a moulding unit. That material is then injected into a moulding tool. The cavity in the tool determines the form and surface structure of the finished part which can vary in size ranging from a few grams to two-digit kilogram weights. The injection moulding makes the production of objects possible with high precision and speed, so that the parts can then be used for precision engineering as well as mass production. Thus, one can have the freedom to choose what kind of surface the component should take, for example even surfaces for visual applications, grains for no slip surfaces, as well as samples or engravings. This injection moulding method is usually used for making larger quantities since the costs of the tool are a significant part of the necessary investments. By the extremely cost-efficient production of the tools of Sequo Plastic in Asia, economic efficiency can be easily attained in the case of manufacturing complex tools for a few hundred parts. Due to the high quality of the tools, they can then be later used to produce over millions of units. |
